Anadolu University revamps open faculty as Turkey adds new university programs
The Anadolu University Open Education Faculty (AÖF) is accelerating preparations for the higher‑education student amnesty being debated in the Turkish parliament. The faculty plans to upgrade its digital platform, expand course selections and introduce micro‑credential options so that students who paused their studies can resume their degrees online.
Separately, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) approved five new programmes at Trabzon University, covering theatre, graphic design, robotics and artificial intelligence, game development, and unmanned‑vehicle technology. A total of 125 seats will be available for the 2026‑2027 academic year, expanding the university’s capacity in digital‑technology fields.
