Anafi municipality searches for rural doctor during medical emergency

The Municipality of Anafi has issued an urgent appeal to residents and visitors to help locate the island's rural doctor, who could not be reached during an ongoing medical emergency. The local administration stated that they do not know the doctor's whereabouts and noted that this lack of communication is a recurring issue.

During the emergency, first aid was provided by the island's nurse, Eirini Alexopoulou, and two doctors who were on vacation in Anafi. These two physicians are former rural doctors for the island and responded immediately to the situation. The Municipality expressed its gratitude to the medical staff for their rapid response and solidarity in a region with limited healthcare resources.
