Anaheim Ducks defeat Calgary Flames despite player injuries

The Anaheim Ducks secured a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames. However, the win came at a significant cost to the Ducks' roster, as forwards Cutter Gauthier and Ryan Poehling both sustained injuries during the game.

Gauthier suffered an upper-body injury early in the first period. While he appeared to be moving normally during his final shift, his status remains under evaluation. Ryan Poehling, who scored a short-handed game-winning goal in the third period, suffered a more visible injury after crashing into the right post following a trip by Calgary’s Zayne Parekh. Poehling was seen favoring his right leg and required assistance to leave the ice.

The Ducks will face the Flames again in a rematch on Tuesday.
