Anaheim Ducks to retire Ryan Getzlaf's No. 15 jersey

The Anaheim Ducks have announced they will retire Ryan Getzlaf’s No. 15 jersey during the 2026-27 NHL season. The ceremony is scheduled for January 30, 2027, at the Honda Center, ahead of a game against the Nashville Predators.

Getzlaf, who spent his entire 17-year NHL career with the franchise after being drafted 19th overall in 2003, is the Ducks’ all-time leader in games played (1,157), assists (737), and points (1,019). He served as the team captain for 12 seasons and was a key member of the 2007 Stanley Cup championship team.

With this honor, Getzlaf becomes only the fourth player in franchise history to have his number retired, joining Teemu Selanne, Paul Kariya, and Scott Niedermayer. The team will also host a celebration for the 20th anniversary of the 2007 championship team on January 28, 2027.
