Anaheim man charged with murder after fatal stabbing in shared bedroom

Ismael Pinedalopez, 34, has been charged with felony murder following a fatal stabbing in Anaheim, California. According to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Pinedalopez allegedly returned home early from work on October 24 and discovered 28-year-old Nicholas Garcia in bed with his wife.

The incident occurred in a bedroom shared by Pinedalopez, his wife, and their two young children, aged two and four. Prosecutors state that the children were in the bed during the attack. Garcia was stabbed multiple times with a pocketknife and died at the scene. Neither the wife nor the children sustained physical injuries, though District Attorney Todd Spitzer noted the heartbreak of the children witnessing the violence.

Pinedalopez faces one felony count of murder and a felony enhancement for the use of a weapon. If convicted, he faces a sentence ranging from 26 years to life in prison.
