Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University researchers receive major project funding
Academics from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) have secured funding for two distinct research projects through national support programs.
In the field of logistics, a project led by Prof. Dr. Muhammet Gül has been awarded support from the TÜBİTAK 3005 program. The study aims to develop an innovative decision model to evaluate how logistics service providers comply with the European Green Deal. This collaborative effort involves researchers from ÇOMÜ, Istanbul University, and Munzur University, with support from industry stakeholders including the International Transporters Association (UND) and the Logistics Service Providers Association (LOJİDER).
In the medical field, a joint initiative between ÇOMÜ and Çanakkale Mehmet Akif Ersoy State Hospital has received backing from the Health Institutes of Turkey (TÜSEB). Led by Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Op. Dr. Onur Yılmaz and Prof. Dr. Ayhan Oral, the project focuses on developing a biodegradable medical material, specifically a PLA–CaMMT-based cover, designed to support the healing of bone fractures.
