Analogue announces Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ retro consoles

Analogue has announced the relaunch of its FPGA-based retro gaming consoles, the Super Nt+ and the Mega Sg+. These updated models are designed to play original Super Nintendo and Mega Drive cartridges on modern televisions without relying on traditional software emulation.

Both consoles utilize Altera Cyclone V FPGA technology to replicate the hardware logic of the original machines, promising zero latency and 1080p HDMI output. The new versions introduce several hardware improvements over their predecessors, including integrated Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz support for wireless controllers, USB-C power connectivity, and a redesigned chassis. Additionally, users can now swap cartridges without needing to power down the system.

The Super Nt+ supports SNES and Super Famicom modules, while the Mega Sg+ is compatible with Mega Drive and Genesis titles. Both systems are designed to support both PAL and NTSC regional variants. Each console is priced at $219.99. Pre-orders are scheduled to open on October 19, with deliveries expected to begin in December 2026.
