Anambra APC Chairman Emma Anosike Confirmed After Internal Crisis
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State resolved an internal leadership dispute by reaffirming Senator Emma Anosike as state chairman. A five‑member reconciliation committee chaired by Dr Benjamin Nwoye and the party’s national deputy chairman for the South, Dr Ben Okoye, announced the decision at a stakeholders’ meeting in Awka, noting that the National Working Committee in Abuja had set up the committee to restore peace.
The national leadership also directed that all court litigations concerning the chairmanship be withdrawn and warned against indiscipline within the party. The committee confirmed that the party’s 2025 governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, remain the leader and deputy leader of the state APC. Party officials emphasized the need for unity to contest the 2027 presidential election in the state and to challenge the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Senator Anosike pledged to foster inclusiveness and urged members to abide by the resolutions, while Dr Okoye stressed that any dissenters could leave the party but must respect its constitution.
