Anambra Security Squad Hands Over GPMGs and Rocket Launchers to Nigerian Army

The Agunechemba Security Squad of Anambra State dismantled suspected gunmen camps in the Orumba North and Orumba South local government areas. Operatives recovered a cache that included two General Purpose Machine Guns and locally made rocket launchers. The weapons were handed over to the Nigerian Army at the Director of Operations’ office in Awka.

Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu praised Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the operation and affirmed the army’s continued partnership with Agunechemda and other security agencies. The handover was led by Chief Chinenye Ihenko, representing the Governor’s Special Adviser on Community Security, Kenneth Emeakayi. No casualties were reported during the operation.
