Anambra State plans modular refinery for LPG production

The Anambra State Government has announced plans to establish a modular refinery to expand the state’s production of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Charles Ofoegbu, the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, stated that the administration under Governor Chukwuma Soludo aims to sanitize the petroleum and gas sector while creating an environment conducive to investment. The government has expressed readiness to support prospective investors by providing access to gas supplies for processing plants.

Additionally, the National Association of LPG Marketers, Anambra State Chapter, is seeking to conduct workshops focused on LPG safety and operations. These sessions are intended to educate the public on gas pressure levels and safety measures to prevent domestic accidents.
