Anambra Police Probe Deaths of Three Children at Native Doctor’s Home

Three children aged between six and 15 were found dead and a fourth critically injured at the residence of a female native doctor known locally as “Ezenwanyi” in Umuoduba Village, Ideani Community, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. Police rescued the surviving child after community leaders, including President‑General Chief Paul Okoye, intervened and rushed the child to hospital.

Anambra State Police Command, represented by Superintendent of Police Tochukwu Ikenga, placed the suspect in custody and handed the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a full‑scale, evidence‑based investigation. The bodies of the deceased children have been moved to a mortuary for autopsy. Authorities have urged residents to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and cooperate with investigators as the inquiry continues.
