Anand Dubey resigns from Shiv Sena (UBT)
Anand Dubey, a prominent national spokesperson for the Shiv Sena (UBT), has resigned from the party and his leadership position. Announcing his decision in Mumbai, Dubey stated that national interest must take precedence over political differences.
Dubey expressed significant dissatisfaction with the party's current direction, describing certain elements within the organization as “vermin” that have infiltrated the party. He noted that he could no longer align himself with the party's stance and contrasted his political ideals, such as Bhagat Singh and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, against other figures.
His departure comes at a sensitive time for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, as the alliance seeks to maintain unity. Dubey also reflected on a visit to Pahalgam following a terror attack, noting that while he had met with local leaders to offer support, he felt senior party representatives should have made similar efforts to visit the affected area.
