Ananindeua residents report waste accumulation and poor lighting

Residents in various neighborhoods of Ananindeua, located in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, are reporting severe issues regarding waste collection and public lighting. The situation has reportedly worsened in recent months, causing significant disruption for those living in or traveling through the area.

A major point of concern is an open-air landfill located on Avenida Ananin, where waste has accumulated significantly. Similar issues with trash scattered across streets and sidewalks have been reported in other parts of the city. Some residents claim that waste collection has not occurred in certain sections of Avenida Ananin for nearly two months.

In addition to sanitation problems, the lack of adequate public lighting is a recurring complaint, particularly at night. Residents have expressed frustration and a sense of abandonment, calling on the Ananindeua City Hall to take immediate action to normalize these basic infrastructure services.
