Anant Singh opposes JDU candidate Neeraj Kumar in Bihar election

Internal conflict has emerged within the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) regarding the Patna Graduate constituency for the Bihar Legislative Council elections. JDU MLA Anant Singh has publicly declared his support for Dr. Anuj Kumar Singh, the candidate from the Jan Suraaj party, against the JDU’s official candidate, Neeraj Kumar.

Anant Singh stated that his opposition to Neeraj Kumar is personal rather than political, citing long-standing disputes between the two. He announced plans to campaign for Anuj Singh across all assembly segments in the constituency.

JDU leaders, including Minister Shravan Kumar, confirmed that the party’s top leadership is aware of the situation and is monitoring the developments. JDU State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha emphasized that the party's primary goal remains securing victory for the NDA across all eight teacher and graduate constituency seats.
