Ananta open-world RPG set for 2027 release by NetEase Games

NetEase Games and Naked Rain Studio are developing Ananta, a free-to-play, open-world action RPG scheduled for a global release on January 15, 2027. The game features a dynamic environment with two distinct metropolitan locations: the modern Nova City and the mysterious Chongxiao.

Players can engage in various activities, ranging from driving cars and motorcycles to navigating oceans or swinging between buildings. The game offers diverse character roles, such as NCCA officers, hackers, or gang leaders, and emphasizes martial arts-based combat.

Developers have stated ambitious long-term goals, aiming to provide approximately 100 hours of content at launch. Furthermore, the studio plans to support the game with continuous updates, including new quests, characters, and maps, for at least seven years following its release.
