ANANTA RPG set for global release on January 15, 2027

The urban open-world RPG ANANTA, developed by Naked Rain and published by NetEase Games, has announced a global release date of January 15, 2027. The free-to-play title will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms.

In a developer interview at gamescom 2026, Tian Yu explained that the game will not feature a character gacha system. The decision is based on ensuring accessibility for all players, maintaining the integrity of the story where characters are earned through gameplay, and focusing monetization on cosmetic items like skins and cosmetics that do not affect gameplay balance.

The game features a unique premise where players act as influencers in a modern city, using social influence to navigate the world. The environments are inspired by major metropolises such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Tokyo. The title has already recorded over 17 million pre-registrations across 110 countries and regions.
