Anantnag police investigate job fraud involving 8.50 lakh rupees
Police in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, have registered an FIR following allegations of a major fraud involving the promise of a government job. The complainant, Waheed Ahmed Ittoo, a resident of Khanabal, alleged that Abid Hussain Negru defrauded him of approximately 8.25 lakh rupees.
The accused reportedly claimed he could secure a position as a Special Police Officer (SPO) within the police department by leveraging political influence. Additionally, the suspect allegedly promised to obtain permission to set up tents in Pahalgam during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Anantnag police have initiated an investigation under sections 318(4) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant against individuals who claim to provide official benefits or employment in exchange for money.
