Anantnag police review operations and crime status

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure chaired a comprehensive operations and crime review meeting at the District Police Office to assess the security situation and investigation progress. The meeting included various high-ranking officers, including ASP North Camp Ashmuqam Rameez Raja, SDPOs, and SHOs.

Nagpure issued directives for officers to ensure professional and timely investigations while strictly adhering to established procedures. A significant portion of the meeting focused on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The SSP mandated a zero-tolerance approach toward drug trafficking and peddling, ordering stringent action against suppliers and repeat offenders. He specifically instructed officers to trace financial networks and properties linked to drug trafficking.

Additionally, the SSP emphasized the importance of strengthening preventive policing, intensifying beat policing, and ensuring the prompt redressal of public grievances to maintain peace and public order throughout the district.
