Anantnag SSP Visits Flood‑Hit Pahalgam After Flash Flood

Senior Police Officer (SSP) Amod Ashok Nagpure inspected the damage caused by a sudden flash flood in the Avura Nallah area of Pahalgam, Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir on 12 July. The rapid flood destroyed several residential homes, commercial premises and other property.

During his visit, the SSP consulted with local residents and police personnel, urging continuous vigilance, sustained police presence, and close coordination with district administration and other agencies for rescue and relief efforts. He also asked the public to avoid vulnerable areas and follow official safety guidelines.
