Anas Ait Al‑Abdia and Fatima Zahra Al‑Hayan Win Morocco’s Crown Cycling Race

Morocco’s annual Crown Cycling Race concluded its first day in Agadir, part of the national celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession. In the elite men’s individual road race, Anas Ait Al‑Abdia of the Aytab Marrakech club finished first, ahead of Idriss Alwan and Ibrahim Al‑Sabbahi of the Agadir Mountain Biking Club. In the women’s elite race, Fatima Zahra Al‑Hayan of the Agadir Mountain Biking Club won, beating Salma Hariri of the Majd Sarghini club and Islam Bkhikhi of the Dchira Agadir club. Both riders had previously secured national titles earlier in the year. The competition, held on a closed circuit beside the Adrar stadium, attracted large crowds and extensive media coverage. The program will continue on Sunday with mountain‑bike events at the Oulmi Olympic course in the Ain Sekhouna resort, reinforcing Agadir’s reputation as a premier venue for national and international cycling events.
