ANAS receives UNESCO award for road safety campaign
ANAS has received an award from UNESCO in Paris for its road safety campaign, ‘Quando sei alla guida, tutto può aspettare’ (When you are driving, everything can wait). The recognition was presented to ANAS CEO Claudio Andrea Gemme during the International Day of Peace as part of the UNESCO initiative ‘Calling for Peace: Identity, Creativity and Intercultural Dialogue for Inclusive and Peaceful Societies’.
The campaign focuses on the dangers of distracted driving, particularly the use of smartphones, which remains a leading cause of road accidents in Italy. The advertisement features three everyday drivers—played by Massimiliano Ossini, Ludovica Martino, and Gianmarco Tognazzi—to ensure the message is relatable to a broad audience.
Gemme stated that the award validates the company’s commitment to spreading a culture of road safety and serves as motivation to improve further. He emphasized that safety involves not only following rules but also recognizing the value of others and shared responsibility.
