ANAS reopens Castellammare del Golfo A29 interchange ahead of schedule

ANAS completed restoration of the Castellammare del Golfo interchange on the A29 Palermo‑Mazara del Vallo motorway, reopening it a few days before the mid‑month deadline. The work was prompted by severe deterioration of the carriageway at the overpass approach after intense rains in recent months.

Accelerated construction allowed the exit ramp from Trapani to Castellammare del Golfo and the entry ramp toward Palermo to be back in service, improving safety and capacity as summer holiday traffic surges. Regional infrastructure assessor Alessandro Aricò praised the effort, saying it restores full usability for the public and enhances traffic safety.
