ANAS road works cause traffic changes in Tuscany and Sicily

In Tuscany, the municipality of Banzai has formally urged the national road authority ANAS to amend the speed limit on the Aurelia state road at kilometre 56. Mayor Alessio Manuelli said the change is required before the town can proceed with installing new signage, pedestrian crossing safety measures and luminous speed deterrents. The request follows resident and tourist concerns about safety on the stretch near the Banzai beaches.

In Sicily, ANAS issued an ordinance for technical surveys inside the Calavà I tunnel on the State Road 113. The work, scheduled for 22 June, will be carried out under a temporary one‑way alternating traffic regime regulated by traffic lights. The road will remain open, with no full closure, to allow the surveys to proceed safely.
