ANAS safety response rejected by committee over S.S. 372 wildlife accidents

The Benevento Caianello Committee, led by lawyer Maria Pasqualina Renzi, has rejected a response from the road agency ANAS regarding safety measures on the S.S. 372 Telesina highway. The committee argues that ANAS's claims regarding existing fencing and warning signs do not adequately address the increasing frequency and severity of accidents caused by wild animals.

Specifically, the committee highlighted a serious incident in June where a driver collided with a wild boar, resulting in a critical injury. The committee is calling for the implementation of more effective protection systems, such as the blue reflectors used in the Alta Valle di Susa, to prevent further accidents before they become irreparable.
