Anas Siddique named Andrew Fairlie Scholarship finalist

Anas Siddique, Head Chef at The Bass & Barrel in North Berwick, has been named a finalist for the Andrew Fairlie Scholarship. The nomination follows his recent appointment at the Buzzworks venue.

Siddique’s culinary career includes experience in India and Oman before moving to Edinburgh, where he has spent three years working with Buzzworks at various locations, including Herringbone and Scotts. He previously completed a pastry scholarship through HIT Scotland.

This achievement follows his selection as one of six UK finalists in the Master Chefs of Great Britain (MCGB) Game Chef of the Year 2026 competition.
