Anass Achahbar reflects on Feyenoord career and goals against PSV

Former Feyenoord striker Anass Achahbar has reflected on his career, specifically recalling his decisive performance against PSV in 2015. During that match at De Kuip, Achahbar scored two goals—including a half-volley and a strike following teamwork with Jean-Paul Boëtius—to secure a 2-1 victory.

Achahbar, now 32, noted that despite interest from major European clubs like Manchester United and Barcelona during his time in the Dutch youth national teams, his primary ambition was to play for Feyenoord and perform in front of the De Kuip crowd. He expressed no regrets regarding his career decisions, stating that his choices were logical based on his knowledge at the time.

Having recently returned to Feyenoord this summer, Achahbar has transitioned into a new role as a youth trainer for the club’s youngest age groups.
