Anastasia Samoylova exhibition opens at Gallerie d’Italia in Turin

The Gallerie d’Italia in Turin is hosting “Harbor,” the first Italian solo exhibition by photographer Anastasia Samoylova. Curated by Emanuela Mazzonis, the exhibition features over 60 photographs documenting seven European port cities: Genoa, Venice, Rotterdam, Marseille, Lisbon, Athens, and Istanbul.

The collection explores the intersection of human activity, international trade, and the environment. The imagery captures industrial infrastructures, such as cranes and shipping containers, alongside the human dimension of port life, including workers and tourists. The project examines how globalization has reshaped urban landscapes and coastal economies.

Samoylova’s work also addresses contemporary environmental and social issues, such as rising sea levels and migration. The exhibition is part of a broader photographic landscape series curated by Intesa Sanpaolo, following a previous exhibition by Luca Campigotto.
