Anastazja Kuś nominated for European Athletics Rising Star award

Polish athlete Anastazja Kuś has been nominated for the Women’s European Rising Star award by European Athletics. The 19-year-old, representing AZS UWM Olsztyn, is one of ten finalists selected for her international achievements.

Kuś’s recent accomplishments include winning a gold medal in the 400 meters at the World U20 Championships in Eugene, where she set a Polish U20 record of 51.06 seconds. She also holds a silver medal from the World Indoor Championships in the 4x400m relay and was the youngest Polish Olympian at the Paris Games.

The other nominees include Viktoria Angelova (Bulgaria), Linda Botková (Czech Republic), Kelly Doualla (Italy), Serena di Fabio (Italy), Marina Hadjicosta (Cyprus), Eleni Iakovaki (Greece), Alisa Launonen (Finland), Ziva Remic (Slovakia), and Enni Virjonen (Finland).

Voting is conducted by fans, national federations, media, and an expert panel. The winner will be announced on October 24 during the Golden Tracks gala in Lausanne.
