Anastazja Kuś wins World U20 400m gold and sets Polish record

Anastazja Kuś has won the gold medal in the 400m sprint at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, USA. The 19-year-old athlete set a new Polish junior national record with a time of 51.06 seconds, surpassing the previous record held by Patrycja Wyciszkiewicz.

Kuś secured her victory by overtaking favorites in the final meters. This achievement marks the first gold medal for Poland in the 400m event in the 40-year history of the World U20 Championships. Following her victory and medal ceremony, she is scheduled to travel to Birmingham to participate in the senior European Athletics Championships, where she may compete in the 4x400m relay.
