Anastazja Kuś wins World U20 400m title

Anastazja Kuś has emerged as a major talent in Polish athletics after winning the gold medal in the 400 metres at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Clocking a time of 51.06 seconds, Kuś set a new Polish national record for her age category.

Following her victory in the United States, Kuś traveled to Birmingham for the European Athletics Championships to compete in the mixed 4x400m relay. The Polish relay team, which included Natalia Bukowiecka, finished in fourth place with a time of 3:12.07, missing out on a medal despite achieving their best result of the season.

While Kuś’s individual success was a highlight, the overall performance of the Polish U20 squad at the World Championships was noted as underwhelming by some analysts, as the team finished 17th in the medal standings and 25th in the points classification.
