Anatália Sampaio, mother of Piauí Vice-Governor, dies at 89

Anatália Gonçalves de Sampaio Pereira, a notary and mother of Piauí Vice-Governor Themístocles Filho, passed away at the age of 89 in Teresina on Saturday. She had been hospitalized following a domestic accident.

The Vice-Governor honored his mother on social media, describing her as an exemplary, kind, and hardworking woman who served as a reference for her family. Anatália leaves behind six children, including former federal deputy Themístocles de Sampaio Pereira.

Ivanária Sampaio, the Mayor of Esperantina and daughter-in-law of the deceased, also paid tribute to Anatália, noting their close relationship and the support Anatália provided throughout her political career. Funeral services were scheduled to take place in Teresina.
