Anatoli Agias hosts 53rd Anatoliton Gathering

The 53rd ‘Anatoliton Gathering’ (Antamoma Anatoliton) took place in Anatoli Agias on August 14 and 15. Organized by the ‘Ioannis o Prodromos’ Anatoliton Association, the two-day event serves as a long-standing cultural institution for people of Anatolian descent and their supporters.

The festivities included a traditional village festival, a panegyric Divine Liturgy at the Holy Temple of Panagia, and traditional dance performances led by Katerina Kosta. The event concluded with a large traditional celebration featuring live music from a traditional orchestra.

Theodoros Gargavanis, president of the association, emphasized the importance of the gathering as a timeless meeting point that preserves the connection between the Anatolitic community and their history and traditions.
