ANCE Enna launches Generazione Edilizia 2030 initiative

ANCE Enna has launched ‘Generazione Edilizia 2030 – Le scuole in cantiere’, a project designed to bring secondary school students into public and private construction sites across the province. The initiative aims to provide young people with a firsthand look at the construction industry, highlighting its technological aspects, professional roles, and safety protocols to counter common stereotypes.

The program operates on a collaborative model where schools, construction companies, and clients sign a memorandum of understanding for each site. Educational activities include classroom preparation meetings and guided tours through protected areas. For technical and professional institutes, these activities can be integrated into transversal skills and orientation pathways (FSL).

Safety is a primary focus, with all visits planned alongside safety coordinators and requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Gaetano Debole, head of training and industrial relations for ANCE Enna, stated that the goal is to offer concrete opportunities for youth to build their futures within the local territory.
