ANCE Marche warns rising fuel costs threaten construction stability

Carlo Resparambia, president of ANCE Marche, has warned that rising fuel costs are having a devastating impact on construction companies in the Marche region. The increase in diesel prices affects machinery operations, transport chains, and the costs of essential raw materials such as steel, cement, bitumen, and concrete.

Resparambia noted that businesses are facing four unsustainable cost increases, including energy and labor, which threaten the economic stability of both private and public contracts. This instability poses a risk to the completion of construction sites, particularly those involved in post-earthquake reconstruction efforts and projects funded by the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan). He has called for urgent and structural government intervention to provide long-term certainty for the productive sector.
