Ance President Ciucci requests 3.8 billion euros for construction sector

Antonio Ciucci, president of Ance, has identified key priorities for Italy’s upcoming budget law, emphasizing the need to support the construction sector. He stated that approximately 3.8 billion euros are required immediately to cover the rising costs of materials accumulated between 2024 and 2026. Ciucci called for the government to establish a structural dialogue with the construction industry, which accounts for roughly 12% of Italy's GDP and employs 1.7 million people.

Beyond addressing arrears, Ciucci highlighted the importance of long-term planning to prevent economic stagnation following the conclusion of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) phase. He advocated for stable, multi-year programming and the effective use of European structural and cohesion funds to ensure continued investment and growth.
