Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey to launch on new consoles in 2026

Panache Digital Games and Fictions have announced a renewed version of the open-world survival game ‘Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey’. Rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, the title is scheduled for release on December 8, 2026.

The new edition will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, a PC version will arrive on the Microsoft Store on the same date. Existing owners of compatible previous editions will be eligible to receive the update for free.

The technical overhaul aims to modernize the experience while maintaining the original gameplay structure, which focuses on the evolution and survival of early hominids in Neogene Africa. New features include documentary-style narration and a photo mode.
