Ancestry.com updates genealogy record collections

Ancestry.com has updated its card catalog with several new genealogy record collections for the week of August 15 to 21, 2026.

Significant additions include large-scale Find a Grave® indexes covering Germany (1600s to present), Norway (1800s to present), and Australia and New Zealand (1800s to present). A global index for burials at sea and other select locations, dating back to the 1300s, was also updated with over 24 million indexed records.

Additionally, the platform expanded its English historical records with new collections from Cheshire, England, including Church of England marriages, banns, baptisms, and burials spanning from 1538 to 1939.
