AnchorWatch launches Nevada-chartered bitcoin custody service

AnchorWatch Trust Company has launched a state-chartered trust company in Nevada, authorized by the Nevada Financial Institutions Division to provide qualified bitcoin custody. The service targets public companies, fiduciaries, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.

A primary feature of the service is its fee structure, which utilizes fixed-dollar annual fees tiered by vault size rather than the industry-standard percentage of assets under management. Fees are capped at $10,000 per month, meaning additional bitcoin purchases or price increases do not raise the cost once the cap is reached.

The company offers two custody models: “Flagship Custody,” where AnchorWatch holds necessary keys alongside client-held keys, and “multi-institution custody,” which distributes key control between AnchorWatch, BitGo in the United States, and CoinCorner in the Isle of Man to mitigate concentration risk. Additionally, the company provides insurance coverage of up to $370 million per client, with options for clients to apply for insurance in their own name.
