ANCI appoints Chiara Frontini to lead new sport and health commission

The ANCI commission for sport, health, youth policies, and internal areas has officially convened in Rome. Chiara Frontini, the Mayor of Viterbo, has been appointed to lead the new commission.

Key discussions during the inaugural meeting focused on sports reforms, specifically regarding the use of facilities by sports associations and the enhancement of school sports assets. Initiatives such as the ‘Calcio per tutti – Comuni inclusivi’ project and a pilot program with Decathlon to promote school sports were presented.

On the health front, the commission reviewed collaborations with various networks, including Rete Città Sane and Airc. Additionally, the group addressed youth policies, including the management of unused properties by individuals under 35, and the ‘Controesodo’ agenda aimed at combating depopulation in internal areas.
