Sicily launches youth listening network and local initiatives

A new network of listening centers for young people has been launched across Sicily, promoted by the ANCI Sicilia Youth Policy Commission. The initiative aims to strengthen dialogue between local institutions and new generations by providing spaces for direct confrontation with administrators. Participating municipalities will host at least one fixed monthly appointment. In Messina, meetings will take place at the Info Point YoungME on the last two Wednesdays of each month, allowing youth to discuss ideas, needs, and community issues directly with local officials.

In Gela, the first sessions of the ANCI Sicilia listening and co-design service have already highlighted critical social issues, including social vulnerability, the protection of women victims of violence, and the need for support for those in difficulty. Discussions also covered youth entrepreneurship.

Separately, in Vittuone, the 'Consulta Giovani' has officially begun its activities. Led by President Angelica Restelli, the council aims to increase youth involvement in local life and propose concrete projects for the community's growth.
