Ancient Pine Tree in China's Mount Cảnh Mại Draws Visitors with Honey‑Like Bee Nests

An ancient pine tree about 50 m tall stands on Mount Cảnh Mại in the city of Phổ Nhĩ, Vân Nam province, China. The tree, locally called “Cây Vua Ong,” has attracted attention for a striking natural display.

During the rainy season the tree’s branches support roughly 106 large fan‑shaped honey‑bee nests. The nests are filled with clear amber‑colored honey that drips from the branches, creating a visual effect described by locals as a “honey waterfall.”

The site is part of a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape and is valued by residents for the symbiotic relationship between the bees and the forest, highlighting a harmonious human‑nature connection.
