Ancient Trance Festival launches in Taucha, Germany with African‑focused lineup
The 15th edition of the Ancient Trance Festival will run from 6 to 9 August 2026 in the city park of Taucha, Germany, centering on the Schöppenteich area. Organisers are in the "hot phase" of construction, installing stages, dance floors, bars, market stalls and workshop spaces while heavy machinery circulates the site.
The festival highlights African music, featuring Nigeria’s The Cavemen, Morocco’s Tasuta N‑Imal and Zambia’s Zamrock band W.I.T.C.H. Alongside concerts, the event offers art‑handicraft displays, exotic food, a children’s programme and wellness activities, attracting musicians, instrument makers, vendors and visitors from many countries.
The main stage is being built at the Große Schöppenteich, and the programme aims to draw an international audience to experience a blend of traditional and contemporary African rhythms.
