Campobasso administration contests fan travel ban to Ravenna
The Campobasso municipal administration has expressed dismay over a decision to ban Campobasso fans residing in the Molise region from traveling to Ravenna. The administration suggests the ban likely follows a recent incident where Campobasso supporters were allegedly attacked by Torres fans. Officials noted that Campobasso fans maintained calm during the previous provocation and are now unfairly facing repressive measures.
In other regional football news, Bisceglie Calcio was eliminated from the Coppa Italia Serie D following a penalty shootout loss to Fidelis Andria. Coach Massimo Pizzulli noted the team showed tactical growth despite the result. Meanwhile, Ancona advanced in the Coppa through a penalty shootout victory against Fossombrone, though coach Agenore Maurizi highlighted concerns regarding goals conceded from corner kicks and a first-degree lesion for player Pandolfi.
Other match updates include a 1-1 draw between Val Varaita and Busca in the Coppa Italia di Promozione, where Busca secured qualification.
