Ancona citizens create collective artworks during Festa del Mare

During the Festa del Mare in Ancona, a community art initiative titled ‘Tela condivisa’ resulted in the creation of two large collective paintings. Organized by Kairos Eventi and the Associazione Marchigiana Traumatizzati Cranici, the project invited citizens to contribute freely to the canvases using brushes and colors.

The first artwork features a large tree with maritime themes composed of 98 individual brushstrokes. The second painting is a colorful depiction of marine life, including a mermaid, an island, and various fish, completed through 85 separate interventions. Local officials noted that the initiative served as a tool for community building and highlighted the therapeutic potential of art.
