Ancona Coast Guard seizes 22 kg of fish during restaurant inspections

The Coast Guard of Ancona conducted a series of inspections targeting seasonal restaurants and seafood transport vehicles as the summer season concludes. During the operation, authorities inspected five dining establishments and one refrigerated delivery vehicle.

The inspections resulted in the seizure of 22 kilograms of fish that lacked the necessary documentation to verify its origin. Additionally, three administrative sanctions totaling 6,000 euros were issued for violations of traceability requirements. The Coast Guard stated that these measures are intended to ensure public health, maintain transparency in the seafood supply chain, and protect operators who comply with regulations.
