Ancona establishes new Kindness delegation

The Municipality of Ancona has officially established a new administrative delegation dedicated to Kindness. By decree of Mayor Daniele Silvetti, the role has been assigned to Orlanda Latini, who also serves as the Councilor for Family and Equal Opportunities.

The initiative aims to promote a more welcoming city by transforming kindness into a daily practice within institutions, community relations, and social interactions. The municipality specified that the delegation does not involve additional economic commitments but is intended to function as an administrative tool to redefine relationships between institutions and citizens, promote social cohesion, and combat social isolation and intolerance.

The program will involve various sectors, including schools, neighborhoods, and local associations. Additionally, the concept of ‘urban kindness’ is highlighted as a cultural value relevant to the city’s bid for the 2028 Italian Capital of Culture designation.
