Ancona officials to meet residents over recurring vehicle vandalism

Ancona city officials have scheduled a meeting for October 12 with residents of via Pesaro and via Fossombrone to address ongoing vehicle vandalism. Local residents report that a serial vandal has been targeting cars almost every night since last summer.

Giovanni Zinni, the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Security, stated that while the municipality is ready to listen and seek solutions, the local government cannot act without formal complaints filed with the police. Zinni noted that while residents claimed to have reported the incidents to the Carabinieri, no official complaints had been received by the local municipal police, which is a necessary step for the administration to intervene.
