Ancona police crackdown results in cocaine arrest and online fridge fraud charge

In Falconara, Carabinieri stopped a 25‑year‑old who was carrying 10 grams of cocaine while under the benefit of social‑services measures. The magistrate immediately revoked the benefit and ordered his transfer to the Montacuto prison.

Separately, investigators from the Carabinieri station in Brecce Bianche identified a 19‑year‑old, resident outside the region, as the perpetrator of an online fraud. He posted a fake advertisement for a refrigerator, received a bank transfer of nearly €350 from an Ancona citizen, and disappeared without delivering the goods. He was placed under investigation and released pending trial.
