Ancona police issue residency bans for stalking and abuse suspects

Police in Ancona have implemented precautionary measures against a man accused of stalking and domestic abuse. In one instance, the suspect was ordered to maintain a distance of at least 1,000 meters from a woman he had been harassing at her workplace. After the man refused to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet, authorities escalated the penalty to a ban on residing within the entire province of Ancona.

In a separate but related crackdown on gender-based violence, the Squadra Mobile executed a measure against a man accused of mistreating his ex-wife. The investigation revealed a pattern of threats, intimidation, and stalking that extended to the victim's minor children. The victim had previously required placement in a protected facility due to the severe anxiety and fear caused by the suspect's repeated violations of previous restraining orders.
