and° and GO. REFORM partner to deploy AI for construction estimating

AI developer and° has entered into a business partnership with GO. REFORM, an interior renovation contractor based in Higashiosaka, to implement AI-driven estimating tools. The collaboration aims to reduce the administrative burden on contractors who typically perform manual quantity takeoffs and cost estimations late at night after field work.

The proprietary “drawing takeoff AI” developed by and° can process PDF drawings or photos to automatically draft quantities for floors, ceilings, walls, baseboards, moldings, fixtures, and windows. The system also incorporates historical unit prices from a user’s own past estimates to assist in drafting quotes. To ensure data privacy, the AI does not share a contractor's specific drawings or unit prices with the prime contractor or other third parties.

Following a pilot phase at GO. REFORM sites since July 2026, the technology will be rolled out to selected partner contractors starting in October 2026, with a broader release planned for November 2026. The tool is designed to act as a drafting assistant, leaving the final verification and confirmation of quantities and prices to the human professionals.
